La Te Da’s Crystal Room Cabaret February 2014

In a captivating live cabaret theater show, “Je T’aime” transports the  audience into the tumultuous world of a young man who is coerced into performing as a mime by a malevolent producer and show MC in a struggling cabaret production. The young man's plight began when he stole a loaf of bread from the producer, leading to his entrapment in a silent and solitary existence as a mime. Amidst the shadows of the cabaret, he finds solace and love in the arms of one of the dancing chorus girls, sparking a forbidden romance that enrages the starlet of the show. Fueled by jealousy and malice, the starlet commits a heinous act, extinguishing the life of the chorus girl and forcing the mime into a twisted marriage. As the dark and tragic drama unfolds on stage, the audience is drawn into a world of betrayal, passion, and tragedy, where the boundaries between performance and reality blur in this gripping cabaret tale of love, loss, and revenge.
